I keep telling myself this will be the month I finally catch back up on this instead of getting even more behind. Maybe this time it’ll actually happen.
So the good news is that after all these months, I finally found the time and motivation to finish Godspeed. The bad news is that a few days ago, it was announced that the author, Enaga Takabatake, passed away in August due to a stroke at the age of 29. Rest in peace.
I have some old scans for Godspeed 0.1, a sort of prototype oneshot (similar character designs, not even remotely a similar plot) and Mermaid’s Flowerbaske, a short series that ran for three chapters plus one extra which was never collected into a volume. I doubt I’ll have time to work on either of those, but if anyone’s interested in doing them, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
It’s back off hiatus. Kind of hard to tell when it’s on a planned break and when it’s not but they actually made a semi-big deal about it coming back this time, and confirmed again that it’s in the final arc.
Done with Volume 7.
This release brought to you by the several hours of nonstop Eurobeat I had playing while working on it to get the motivation to typeset back, because Eurobeat is fantastic.
The final chapter, for real this time unless there’s some epilogue in the volume when that comes out in a couple months. I remember a friend asking me to scan this for him back when I was in college, good times.
Still a few chapters behind, will catch up whenever I feel motivated, so who knows when.
