Hataraku Maou-sama!

Doing this was decided pretty much based on seeing a certain picture from the scans of Volume 11. If you’ve seen them, you know which one I mean. Anyway, Ferdinbeer has graciously decided to attempt translating Volume 3, so I’ll be proofreading the translation and posting it here. I’m not going to post it on Baka-Tsuki yet because a) someone already did the prologue and chapter one, albeit from a Chinese > English translation, and b) I’m not sure if this’ll become an actual thing or if Ferd will get tired of it. He and I also handle the scripts for The Seven Deadly Sins over at Red Hawk, plus Akame and Akame Zero, and given the sheer amount of work translating an LN is compared to manga, having to stop partway through is a very real possibility. For all I know, we won’t even make it past the prologue.

I made a page where I’ll be posting the translations as they come in, so I won’t bother making a new post on the main site except for big things like a chapter being completed. Also, since proofreading this takes a lot longer than proofreading manga since I have to make the narration sound nice and everything, I’ll indicate some sort of cutoff where I’ve proofread up to, with everything after that being straight from the translation. Hopefully there won’t be anything sitting unproofread for too long, but no promises. Also, bear in mind that anything is subject to be changed at the translator’s will, even after it’s already been posted.
