This is the original prologue chapter that was published in good! Afternoon magazine a full four months before the series itself started. Why it was placed at the end of Volume 2, I have no idea. However, it’s definitely canon, as the past few chapters have had characters mentioning things that happened here. Anyway, we’ve got the color pages from the magazine release as a bonus, since those were grayscaled in the volume.

As for future chapters; Volume 3 contains Chapters 10-14, all of which (plus 15-16, which will be in Volume 4) are translated by Lively Scans, meaning translations are completely up-to-date. However, I need to get either magazine or volume raws for cleaning, and both of those will cost money. Magazines would cost more since there are obviously more of them, but the volume would take longer to get because I’d have to buy and scan it myself, which is very time-consuming and against my general habit of laziness. Which one I end up getting will depend on how much money I end up having when it’s time to pick; if I have enough, I’ll go for magazines and get them faster.
Another interesting thing about the series. As you may or may not know, the original author of Ajin left the series after Volume 1, and since then, the original author has been writing it as well as drawing. Well, the original author has a new, weekly series that’s being released on Manga Box, which means it’s getting free, day-one English releases. The series is High-rise Invasion, and it’s definitely worth checking out, even if just to give the site some more views.
Last but not least, here’s some New Year’s greetings from the heroes of Akame ga KILL! They are the heroes, right? I mean, that’s what I’ve been assuming all this time…
